Bharatiya Gorkha Parisangh (BGP) to observe Balidan Diwas on Aug 25

The Kalimpong unit of the Bharatiya Gorkha Parisangh will observe ‘Balidan Diwas’ on August 25 at the GDNS hall by paying rich tributes to Kalimpong’s freedom fighters such as Jangbir Sapkota and Dalbahadur Giri. BGP spokesperson R Moktan said this year’s Balidan Diwas will celebrate the birth anniversary of Major Durga Malla. He strongly condemned the vandalism on Jangbir Sapkota’s statue and called for strong punishment against the miscreants.(EOIC)
