Central Governments—Under Ministries of Home Affairs, Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF), Central Industrial Security Force (CISF), Indo-Tibet Border Police (ITBP) and Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB) is recruiting 497 boys and girls for the post of “Assistant Commandant”.
Total Vacancies: 497 nos.
1. Border Security Force (BSF): 111 Nos.
2. Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF): 213 Nos.
3. Central industrial Security Force (CISF): 15 Nos.
4. indo-Tibet Police Force (ITBP): 36 Nos.
5. Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB): 122 Nos.
Graduate pass in any stream boys and girls may apply for the post. Final year student may also apply for the post. Reference may given to the candidates during interview who have N.C.C.- B or C certificates or to those who have great talent in sports.
Candidates should be between 20yrs to 25 yrs old, i.e. birth date should be between dated—2-8-1986 to 1-8-1981. Age relaxation for OBC- 3yrs and SC/ST-5yrs
Height and weight: Height: 165 cm; Chest (un-expanded/expanded): 81cm/85cm. Weight should be corresponding to the age and height. In case of girls; height: 157cm and weight:45 kg minimum.
Candidates should be physically and mentally fit and well built.
For job in Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) and Central industrial Security Force (CISF) both boys and girls may apply but for the job in Border Security Force (BSF), Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB) and Indo- Tibet Border police (ITBP) only boys should apply.
Candidates selection will be through Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) “2011 Central Police Force (Assistant Commandant) Examination”.
First Written Test will be hold on 9th October on respective centre (state wise). Written Test will be on two papers. First paper will be (I) General Ability Test, (II) General Science, (III) National and International incident, (IV) Indian politics and Economics, (V) Indian History, and (VI) Indian and World history.
Second paper will be of Descriptive Type Questions.
Candidates will require to obtain qualifying marks on both paper. If candidates obtained qualifying numbers in first paper, then only he/she will be allowed to sit on second paper.
Then there will be Height and Weight Measurement, Doctor Examination and Physical Ability Test.
Physical Ability Test will be of (I) 100 mtr Race—in 16 sec for boys and 18 sec for girls. (II)800 Mtr Race—in 3min 45sec for boys and 4min 45sec for girls. (III) Long Jump—3.5 mtr for boys and 3 mtr for girls and (IV) Short –Pot—for boys only 4.5 mtr with iron ball of 7.26 kg.
If selected then personality Test. On basis of Written Test and Personality Test’s marks, a list of candidates will be prepared.
The venue of examination will be informed to the candidates along with Admit Card.
Application can be made either Online or Offline method.
Online Application can be made by visiting the site: http://upsconline.nic.in. Candidates will required to make a payment of Rs.100 for examination fee (no fee for SC/ST and women candidates) through net banking, debit card or direct deposit through State bank of India. The last date to apply online is 18th July 2011.
For applying through offline, candidates can obtain application form through Post Offices (only on selected post offices)
On Application form write “10” at the Examination code box.
Along with filled application, enclose the followings—
One pass port size black and white photo (4x5cm) pasted on application form.
Central Recruitment Fee stamp of Rs.200 pasted on given space of application and then make cancellation from clerk of the post office with seal.
Postal Stamp of Rs.6 should be pasted on Acknowledgement slip provided along with application form. Write your Form No. and write “Central police Forces (Assistant Commandants) Examination 2011” on it.
On the top of the application containing envelope, super scribe on capital letters—“Central Police Forces (Assistant Commandants) Examination, 2011”
