Senior Division S-League 2011 kicked off here at Palzor Stadium

Sikkim/Gangtok, September 1: Sikkim Police defeated Boys Club by 4-1 scores in the first match while in the second match Sikkim Sports Academy defeated UTD Jorethang by 3-1 goals during the inaugural day of the Senior Division S-League 2011 here at Palzor Stadium today.

Boys Club with many young players in their squad could not compete with Sikkim Police, and could only save nil with one goal by Ongden Lepcha at 54 minutes. The four winning goals for Sikkim Police were scored by striker Palman Subba at 33 minutes and Dinesh Rai, Naren Gurung, Engphuhang Subba at 46, 49 and 70 minutes respectively.

While, in the second match all the goals were scored in the first half of the game. The only goal for UTD Jorethang was scored by Sanjit Rai in 30 minutes, while the scorer for Sikkim Sports Academy were Arjun Chettri at 12 minutes, Nima Tamang at 25 minutes and Yogel Lepcha at 27 minutes respectively.
