Constable: 2500 Posts
lady Constable: 50 Posts.

Age Limit: Age of the candidates for post of Constable, Lady Constable should not be more than 27 years and less than 18 years as on 01/01/2012. Relaxation in upper age limit for SC / ST Candidates is 5 years and for OBC Candidates is 3 years.

Qualification: Class 10th Passed from W.B.B.SE or any equivalent qualifications.

Selection Procedure:

Selection of the candidates for the post of Constable, Lady Constable in Kolkata Police will be made on basis of Physical Measurement Test (PMT), Physical Efficiency Test (PET), Written Test and Interview. In PET, Candidates will have to run about 1600 Miters within 6.30 Minutes for Constable, 400 Miters within 2 Minutes for Lady Constable

 Fees:Candidates are required to pay of Rs.150 as Demand Draft or Postal Order in Favour of “Kolkata Police Recruitment Board”, Payable at Kolkata

1. Candidates who fulfill all the eligibility criteria for the post of Constable or Lady Constable in Kolkata Police may apply in prescribed application form which is available at the website of Kolkata police www.kolkatapolice.gov.in
2. Duly filled application with copies of supporting document such as Attested copies of Qualifications certificate, Admit Card, Cast Certificate, Tree self addressed envelop of 24*10 cm affixed stamp of Rs.5 each, Demand Draft / Postal Order and two copies of passport size photographs (one should be affixed on application form) must reach the following address
