Kalimpong | Mukesh Sharma: Established in the year 1934, the Kalimpong Jubilee secondary school today observed the 78th foundation day cum award function in the school premises.
The day was observed under the chairmanship of the school committee secretary BR Chettri. Welcoming the gathering the teacher in charge JB Rai informed the students about the scout and the guide facilities in the school. The outstanding students of each class were conferred with the awards by the school. Later the day was followed by beautiful cultural extravaganzas by the school students.
The programme has the presence of the former MLA Gaulan Lepcha, Indo-Tibetan school principal Dhiren Chandra Vig, the principal of the Ganesh school RP Tamang, the former and the present teachers and students of the school, the School Management Committee and the public.
The teachers’ in charge JB Rai expressed his deepest gratitude to all the present members who had contributed for the development of the school. The programme was hosted by Mani Kumar Bhujel and the vote of thanks was given by L Joshi.
