DARJEELING: Students of Southfield College missed classes on Monday to agitate against the authority's decision to not allow them break passes.
A month back, the authorities of the college — formerly known as Loreto College — started a system by which students who stay close by were given lunch passes. However, on Monday they found a note on the notice board saying the passes would not be issued as the college in-charge was out of station.
"Someone may have some work at the bank or has to go to government offices to get some work done. If we don't get passes, we won't be able to get our work done," said a second year student.
