“I had already made up my mind to resign from the GJMM Party and as a member of its Central Committee and perhaps the party had a hunch about my immenent resignation hence they oust me. I appeal to them that the way I have been ejected from the party and post, let that not be done on anybody,” said Mr. Pravin Rahpal.Notably on allegation of anti-party activity and having remained inactive since several months Mr. Rahpal, a GJMM Kalimpong based leader, was expelled from the Party and the post that he held yesterday. A letter expelling him from the party has already sent to him signed by the General Seretary Mr. Roshan Giri.Mr. Rahpal further said that I had several grievances for which the party chief had called me to Jamuni to hear my problems but nobody did. Instead I was treated with a sumptous meal and sent back. Since then I stopped any form of party activity.Mr. Rahpal claimed that I have been a loyal soldier of the GJMM Party since 2007 and have worked for it hand in hand. I raised the party flag on the top of my roof and only yesterday at 10:30 PM i pulled it down. I was the one who escorted the party chief Bimal Gurung in his darkest hour when Madan Tamang was assasinated and reached him to Darjeeling from kalimpong. The GJMM did not give me any political identity as I was already an elected representative of my ward in the Kalimpong Municipality. The Party should not take such decisions based on hearsay and the words of sycophants which will only lead to its own downfall. Any action taken by the party on its cadres should be addressed with a showcause notice giving reasons but in my case it was not done so.
