Morcha to call upon NE leaders for Gorkhaland demand

To gather support for the Gorkhaland demand, the Gorkha Janmukti Morcha (GJM) will soon be meeting the chief ministers and the legislatures of the North East states. Sukh Bahadur Rai, the GJM North East states coordinator informing about the same said that the decision has been taken by the GJM central committee. Rai has set off for his North East tour for the same today itself. He will be holding a meet with the GJM state committees of Assam and Guwahati and will be deciding on which state CM to be met first. After the programmes are chalked out four Morcha leaders, Morcha vice president, RP Waiba, treasurer, Dawa Lama, JSTO president, Binay Dewan, Kurseong sub division MLA, Dr Rohit Sharma will be meeting Rai and carry forward the programme accordingly.Further, Rai said that the Morcha has been able to raise the Gorkhaland demand at a national level.  After many talks the centre has accepted the Gorkhaland Territorial Administration (GTA), he added. During the meeting with the North East leaders the Morcha faction will also be highlighting the same to them. Along with the series of meetings the GJM will also be holding public meetings and will be discussing the demand above organizational level, he said.
