Darjeeling, June 20: The chief
judicial magistrate’s court here today remanded 11 of the 13 Gorkha
Janmukti Morcha supporters, who had surrendered on Monday in the case
related to the murder of ABGL leader Madan Tamang, in CBI custody for
three days.
The CBI did not
apply for the remand of the two other accused, Sona Sherpa, a woman
Morcha activist, and Naresh Rai, and only sought the court’s permission
for their interrogation in judicial custody. The 11 accused will be
produced in the court on Saturday.
