Kalimpong,Mukesh Sharma: The All India Tamang Buddhist Association (AITBA), Kalimpong has issued a press release and expelled its portfolio member Sanjay Moktan who had met the CM and submitted a deputation.
The AITBA Kalimpong President Mr. Bimal Zimba in his press release stated that Sanjay Moktan was the General Secretary of our Association but without the consent of the Central Committee or any Unit, he had welcomed the CM and submitted a deputation in the name of Tamang Youth Association by gathering some accomplices. Through this activity he has betrayed the greater cause of Gorkhaland. Our Association has notonly presently but previously too has always remained loyal in support of Gorkhaland and will continue to do so even in the near future. It is not the first time that Mr. Moktan has made such mistakes and earlier too he has taken steps detrimental to the Association. Hence, we have expelled him and in the future if he takes any such further steps our Association will not be held responsible. We and all our subsidiary units of the AITBA strongly condemn his actions.
Notably, the CM had said in her speech that some Tamang youths had approached her and submitted a deputation and had told them that the State Government is ready to work for their development.
Meanwhile Sanjay moktan said that i havent done any thing wrong if lepcha can get the develpoment board why cant tamang . Our leader in the past has also emphasised and even pass resolution that board must be created for other tribes too . He raised question as to why from mela ground meeting his expel news was read out .
