Khati continues his offensive against Morcha leadership

All India Gorkha League general secretary Pratap Khati, who has been making a no holds barred attack on Gorkha Janmukti Morcha chief Bimal Gurung for his alleged insincerity towards the statehood cause, has said, “The October 23 tripartite meeting is just a review meet and will not bring any good news to the hills.”

Khati, speaking today to reporters in Gangtok, further said none of the leaders spearheading the agitation are loyal to the statehood cause. They are hoodwinking the people by announcing the tripartite meeting will bring a positive outcome, he said, adding the leaders will not bring back anything concrete on the Gorkhaland issue.

While reiterating his support to noted academician Mahendra P Lama, the AIGL leader said, “He is the ideal leader to pursue our demand. Only Lama can lead us in the right direction. It is due to some corrupt leaders that the Gorkhas have failed to achieve statehood so far.”(EOI)
