Don Bosco School, the only catholic
school in Mirik, has recorded a cent percent result yet again in the
Madhyamik examinations this year. Under the guidance of Rev. Father BC
Jose, the school has always excelled in the academic field and has
emerged as one of the leading schools in the region. Having recorded
100% pass percentage for the past many years, Prashant Rai had become
the topper from the Darjeeling hills last year.
This year Pandim Rana scored 87.60%,
keeping the school’s highly commendable record intact. A total of 54
students had appeared for the Madhyamik examination, of which 31 have
secured first class marks.
Happy with the school’s performance,
Father Bose congratulated the students and teachers for their effort. He
also informed the school will soon have class XI and XII, as he has
been receiving a lot of requests from guardians and well wishers for the
upgrade. “However, there are a lot of obstacles that needs to be taken
care of before adding the two classes. We would need support from
education and other departments as well as from all our well wishers,”
he added.(EOIC)
