BJP veteran and Darjeeling MP Surendra Singh Ahluwalia today denounced Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee for the
recurring violence against BJP supporters allegedly by Trinamool
Congress-supported miscreants following the Lok Sabha election in May.
Speaking at a felicitation programme in
Siliguri, the BJP leader said the TMC may have won 34 out of the 42
parliamentary seats in the state, but its cadres are bent on attacking
BJP activists for reasons best known to them.
He also accused the chief minister of
indulging in communal politics in a bid to gain petty political
advantages. Addressing the audience, the Darjeeling MP said he will work
devotedly for the development of all, irrespective of caste, creed,
religion and ethnicity.
Ahluwalia said he has included many
development projects in his agenda as promised by Prime Minister Naredra
Modi during his election campaign speech at Khaprail two months ago.(EOIC)
