“Really happy to be in Gangtok after 2-3 years,” said lead vocalist Bhaskar Dewan. “Seeing the students I am reminded of my own college days.”
He added, “We mostly play electric music, but today we played acoustic and we are glad the crowd supported us.”
Dewan especially thanked the Sikkimese people for their unconditional love and support to his band throughout the years.
Mantra Band performed 8-9 self-composed songs and a few English numbers. Besides Dewan, the band has Pragya Tamang playing lead guitar, Pravash Subba in bass, Birju Chaudhary in drums, Bidhan Thapa as flutist Manish Thapa in the keyboard. The band members added a new English and Nepali album will be released sometime in October of this year.(EOIC)
