Kalimpong lad Israil Gurung has been reportedly signed up by Portuguese football club Vitoria de Guimaraes. He had grabbed the attention of international recruiters for his performance during the inaugural Indian Super League in which he played for Pune City FC. Israil has been hired along with fellow countryman Manish Maithani to play for the Portuguese club’s second division team. (HS)
