of online shopping portal Bag Forever have joined hands to support
Jyotika Khati of Darjeeling in her against cancer. Bag Forever aims to
promote the use of shopping bags to stop the usage of plastic bags,
while YouWeCan Foundation aims to spread cancer awareness and promote
environmental sustainability. Yuvraj is a cancer survivor himself. The
partners are offering a pack of six reusable bags for Rs594. For every
purchase of one pack using the code ‘JYOTIKA’, 30 per cent of the sale
proceeds will go towards Jyotika’s treatment.
Twenty four-year-old Jyotika is a mother
of a two-year-old child and is suffering from blood cancer. She is
undergoing treatment at the Tata Cancer Hospital in Mumbai, the cost of
which has been pegged at Rs6 lakh. Jyotika parted ways with her husband
last year. Those willing to support Jyotika can contribute funds in her
