The Calcutta High Court on Friday adjourned till Monday the hearing on
anticipatory bail prayers of Gorkha Janmukti Morcha president Bimal
Gurung, his wife Asha and others in connection with the murder of All
India Gorkha League chairman Madan Tamang as stayed away from work for
the third day citing hot and humid conditions.
A division bench, comprising Justice Ashim Kumar Roy and Justice I C Das, had asked the counsel of the GJM leaders to be present in the court in the second half of the day after he was not there in the pre-lunch session when the matter was called for hearing.
Counsel Sayan De for the GJM leaders pleaded that the matter be adjourned till Monday. There was no counsel present in the court on behalf of CBI owing to the cease work. PTI
