Darjeeling and Jalpaiguri luminaries felicitated with Ramlal Adhikari Samman

Ten luminaries from Darjeeling and Jalpaiguri districts were felicitated with the 'Sahityakar Ramlal Adhikari Samman' on Republic Day at Milan More, Champasari. They included L B Dewan, environmentalist and founder of Friends of Trees Forum-Mirik; M K Limbu, Director of Yakthung Pvt. Ltd- Matigara; Nepali writer YuvrajKafley; school teacher from SiliguriLalita Joshi; DiwakariChhetri, social activist from Chenga Busty- Mirik, Prashant Paul, journalist of CCN Siliguri; social activist RanguSouriya; young entrepreneur and social workers from SiliguriDebayan and TashiBiswas; dancers and founders of DajuBahini Kala Kendra Salugara- Asha and KishorThapa; and social worker and teacher Arun Kumar from Jalpaiguri. The second felicitation ceremony organised by the BagdograParadristhi Society, Rachana Boutique and Little Angel's School is given in memory of eminent poet, laureate, journalist, writer and social worker Late RamlalAdhikari who also headed the Nepali department of Darjeeling Government College. Organising member RatanBomzon informed such a felicitation programme would be held in a grand manner next year as well. (EOIC)
