| Discussion the Nepal Police and APF Nepal at BOP Panitanki |
After three days tour at Indo-Nepal Border Shri Jyotirmoy Chakravarty, IPS, Additional Director General (ADG) SSB returned back to Force Headquarters in New Delhi today.
Earlier Shri Chakravarty visited 8th Battalion, SSB at Khaprail and interacted with the officers and officials of the unit. He also visited the proposed land of 8th Battalion and examined the site plan there.
After visiting 8th Battalion ADG SSB went to Panitanki Border Out Post (BOP) of 41st Battalion. In the BOP he inspected Jawan Barrack and Mess and checked the quality of food of the Mess. Later, he had an elaborate discussion with DSP of Armed Police Force Shri Rajesh Ghimire, SP, Nepal Police, Shri Mahesh Thapa and senior officers of Indian and Nepal Customs on the safety and security of this sensitive border.
He also took the stock of the situation at Panitanki border and the nearby areas and gave some important instructions to the BOP personnel for better border management. Shri Shrikumar Bandopadhyay, Inspector General, Frontier Siliguri was remain present with ADG during his entire tour.
