GNLF Leader JB Tamang Arrested

The Gorkha National Liberation Front (GNLF) has issued a short press note stating that one of their leaders, and the President of the Himalayan Plantation Workers' Union (HPWU) JB Tamang has been arrested by the police, at 2 AM in the morning.

"आज बिहान २ बजे गोरामुमो श्रमिक संगठन अध्यक्ष जे बि तामाङलाई बिना कारण पुलिसले पक्राउ गरेकोछ , आज गोरामुमो सम्पुर्ण नेता कार्यकर्ता हरु जोरबङ्लो ठानामा हुने भएको छ तसर्थ सम्पुर्ण पत्रकार मानुभावहरुलाई सुचना दिदछौ । साथै जोरबङलो थाना बाट नै पत्रकारहरुलाई पनि सम्बोधन गर्ने भएको छ ।

According to sources, “he had a pending warrant against him, which following the model code of conduct was executed upon, and he was arrested.”
