First ever Mr and Miss Gorkha Dimapur held

Gorkha Students' Union Dimapur (GSUD) arganised its first ever Mr and Miss Gorkha Dimapur on account 205 Bhanu Jayanti 2019 cultural and pageant show at Dimapur town hall.

Prema Chettthe first runner up was awarded to Aishwarya Poudel and second runner up was bagged by Reshmi Chetri. For man, the first runner up was awarded to Subash B Ghataney and second runner up was bagged by Aman Chettri.  Title for Miss Charming was awarded to Navita Subba and Mr Cool to Arun Pradhan. Miss and Mr. Multimedia award to Gayatri Chettri and Roshan Rradhan respectively.

Chief guest, president DCCI, Akashe K. Zhimomi, special guest, Dimapur Gorkha Union chairman, Kumar Subba, guest of honour, director Dimapur 24/7, Annie Jain,and special invitee, former president of All Nagaland Gorkha Students’ Union (ANGSU), Rahul Chetri also spoke at the programme.

The programme commenced with an invocation prayer by pastor KR Sampang Rai followed, welcome address by GSUD president, Anand Gurung. Khukuri dance was performed by Singrijan/Khopanala youth, dance performance by SD Jain Gorkha students. Vote of thanks was delivered by GSUD general secretary, Ajay Thapa followed by dance competition.
