The guests had also Indian and Continental cuisine to choose from along with desserts like plum pudding cake and tiramisu (Italian dessert) served from the hotel’s in-house bakery.
Popular numbers like Salman Khan-starrer Dhinka chika and Shah Rukh Khan’s Chammak Challo belted out by DJ Adroid kept the crowd on their toes.
But Tanglish hit Kolaveri di was played the most number of times because of popular demand.
“It’s a quirky song but different from the regular Bollywood hits. Although, I don’t understand a word in the lyrics I hit the dance floor every time the song was played,” a guest at the party said.
Ukranian belly dancers and music played by DJ Sumit kept the party going at 31 December Big Night Blast at Uttarayon Township.
Around 1,200 guests swayed to the music as Zodiac Dance Troupe set the stage on fire. Kolaveri di, Chammak Challo and Dhinka chika were the popular picks at the party.
“As always Uttarayon has delivered its promise of good food, music and entertainment,” said a visitor.

Along with alcohol and a variety of chaats, the menu had Indian and Continental dishes.
It was a Hawaiian-style party with Bollywood music at the Water Park in Savin Kingdom in Dagapur organised by the Lion’s Club of New Century Siliguri Citizens.
A fashion show, an item dancer, a belly dancer and hit Bollywood remixes entertained the 1,200-strong crowd till past midnight at the New Year’s Eve Hawaiian Dhamaka.
“The party was at the Water Park and we christened it New Year’s Eve Hawaiian Dhamaka. The crowd was lively and we brought in 2012 with a great cheer and spirit,” Ankur Jajodia, chairperson of the organising committee said.
There were several Indian and Continental vegetarian delicacies on the menu.
The KBS Galaxy at Savin Kingdom hosted the Midnight Bell 2012 where fashion shows, dance performances and music played by the DJ and a live band entertained the revellers.
