Meeting of Kirati Khambu Rai Cultural Organization Kalimpong held

Kalimpong|Mukesh Sharma: A meeting of the Kirati Khambu Rai Cultural Organisation Kalimpong sub division Samiti was today held under the Chairmanship of Arun Tamkuley Rai at Kalimpong. The meeting stressed on the eloping Khambu rituals and traditions with the advent and addition of new rituals which have been resulting the identity crises of the community. The community shall observe every occasion and festivals from now onwards preserving the old Khambu traditions. It was also decided to pronounce Khambu replacing the caste, thus keeping the Khambu tradition alive. The meeting also announced not to put tikas during Dushera. Bishal Khambu in the meeting highlighted the upcoming programmes.
