The Communist party of Revolutionary Marxists (CPRM) has tuned in with the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) who has called for the All India Bandh on September 20 protesting the price hike by the Congress led United Progressive Alliance (UPA) Government. The CPRM youth wing today carried out postering drive at Kalimpong supporting the All India Bandh. The CPRM Kalimpong branch President Kishore Pradhan said that the Congress led UPA Government has been trying to slay the lower middle class people by hiking the price of the diesel and LPG. The Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) which has been welcomed will help the government not the people said Pradhan. ‘We strongly protest the UPA policy of killing the poor and appeal the people, organisations, political parties, associations, clubs to protest the same’ said Pradhan. The CPRM Yuwa Morcha Secretary Arun Ghatani also appealed the people to participate in the bandh and not to consider the Government saying that the FDI will create employment opportunities. The FDI is not only opposed by the NDA but also the close aided allies of the UPA too he added.
