Poet Manoj Bogati received the Yuva Sahitya Akademi Puraskar- 2013 during a programme held at Srimal Shankardev Kala Shetra Auditorium, Panjabari, Guwahati. His Nepali poem titled, “Ghau ka Rang Haru’ made him entitled for the award. The President of Sahitya Akademi, Vishwanath Prasad Tiwari handed him a Dosalla, eulogy and a cheque of Rs 50,000/- .
In the first day of the two days programme Hari Krishna Deka, renowned Assamese litterateur, presided over as the chief guest. All the 23 poets spoke about their write-ups. Bogati too spoke about his award winning poem. The Sahitya Akademi President said that much dedication can be seen in the young generation poets. Poets are the future of every language, he added.
