Higher Secondary Examination(HS) results on 3 June

KOLKATA, 29 MAY: Though Higher Secondary Council has decided to give percentiles to the candidates of this year’s Higher Secondary examination, their marksheets will not carry it.

Instead the candidates will get it on the websites while the results will be published on 3 June at 10 a.m. “This is because, percentile depends on others’ scores. Hence, change in any candidate's score after scrutiny or review is supposed to have effect on others’ scores too. We will update those on our websites as changing the marksheets of all seven lakh candidates is next to impossible,” said Mr Malay Roy, deputy secretary (examination) of West Bengal Council of Higher Secondary Education.

However, if a candidate wants a marksheet carrying the percentile, the council might consider it in future. Such candidates will have to apply and special marksheets would be arranged for them.

This time, candidates will be able to see their subject scores, subject grades, total score as well as total grade on the website after 11 a.m. The council will also publish a merit list of first 100 candidates. A separate merit list of first 10 minority students will also be published. A total 7,71,360 candidates appeared in the examination which was heldfrom 13 to 26 March.

CBSE will declare results of secondary school examination (classX) which has become optional on 30 May at 10 a.m. The websites on which the results will be available are www.results.nic.in, www.cbseresults.nic.in, www.cbse.nic.in.
