A magnitude of 5.0 Richter Scale earthquake again jolted Sikkim today at around 11.43 AM. and the tremors were also felt inDarjeeling,Kalimpong,Kurseong and Siliguri.
The epicentre of the quake was at a place in
Sikkim whose latitude and longitude were 27.4 degree N and 88.5 degree E
respectively, about 69 km northwest of Gangtok, 119 km north-northwest of Siliguri and 272 km east of Kathmandu. the sources said.
A report from Gangtok in Sikkim said some buildings had developed cracks and people were out on the streets. More details awaited.
