After Gangtok, the fifth East Himalaya
Expo will be held in Siliguri from October 25 to 31. North Bengal
Development minister Gautam Deb today announced the dates and said the
expo will be hosted by Siliguri to highlight the region. The venue has
been fixed at the Railway ground near Burdawan road.
The expo will be held under the aegis of
the India Trade Promoters’ Organisation (ITPO) and more than 60
government and private stalls from various parts of the country will
display their offerings.
ITPO manager Rumila Roy said stalls of
the Coffee Board, Tea Board, National Jute Board, Coconut Development
board, Coir Board, Spices Board and many more will be the highlights of
the expo.(EOI)
