After making significant inroads into
the Mirik-Soureni region, the GNLF now claims its rise has given a
headache to the GJM. Further, to continue with its expansion activities
in the region, the GNLF has decided to hold a public meeting in
Singbulli on December 1. It must be noted Singbulli is still a GJM
stronghold area.
GNLF Soureni constituency youth
coordinator Nawraj Chettri said the party has already secured necessary
permission for the meeting. He also said the party’s units are working
with diligence and gearing up for a public rally in Kurseong on December
6 where chief Subash Ghising will address the public. Any opposition to
Ghising’s comeback to the hills is akin to disrespecting the entire
Gorkha community, added Chettri.(EOIC)
