President Pranab Mukherjee will be visiting West Bengal and Sikkim on
November 10 and 11. He will inaugurate the 125th Year Jubilee
Celebrations of St. Joseph School, North Point on November 10 in
Darjeeling. On November 11, the President will inaugurate the 40th
Jawaharlal Nehru National Science, Mathematics and Environment

Guv to visit Soureni tea garden

Bengal Governor MK Narayanan, who is on an 18-day visit to the
Darjeeling hills, is scheduled to tour Soureni tea garden on November
13. He will attend an art exhibition and interact with painters in order
to encourage them.
The governor has travelled to Darjeeling
via the Mirik route several times, but this will be his maiden visit to
Soureni. The district administration is fully prepared to provide tight
security on his visit to Soureni. Decorations at the tea garden
bungalow are going on at full pace. Narayanan will also attend a
cultural function and observe the tea production process.(EOIC)
