Mungpoo,Rajesh Thapa: Gorkha janmukti Morcha president and the Gorkhaland Territorial Administration Chief Bimal Gurung Visited the second day of Jogighat Krishi Mela 2014 today. While addressing the people at krishi mela he announced the following Scheme in favour of old aged citizens.He said that the GTA has initiated a pension plan for senior citizens called Kamansingh Ramudamu pension scheme, and we will immediately pay the pension by deducting salaries of the elected GTA members.
Under this scheme 20 people aged above 70 from each of the 45 GTA constituencies, who do not receive any benefits from the government, will get pension from GTA.This scheme is dedicated to late Kamansingh Ramudamu, former vice president of Gorkha Janmukti Morcha.
He further said that the place " Jogighat is much suitable place for the tourism and we are planning to develop this area through different projects so that the thousand of tourist will visit jogighat in future.
In my view one college is much essential for the people of Mungpoo and the GTA will establish one College in Mungpoo very soon he added.
