GJM speculated to hold meeting on Feb 5

The Gorkha Janmukti Morcha leadership is speculated to hold a meeting in Darjeeling on February 5 to chalk out its strategy for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections. However, Kalimpong MLA Dr. Harka Bahadur Chettri did not confirm the meeting and termed it as a rumor.
Meanwhile, GTA chief Bimal Gurung along with three MLAs and GTA members from Darjeeling has left for Kolkata to participate in the proposed TMC Brigade on Thursday. The GTA members who have accompanied Gurung are Dawa Lepcha, Phubi Rai, Uday Dewan and Prakash Gurung while Roshan Giri is already in Kolkata since the past few days.
GJM sources said the party leadership is expected to meet with CM Mamta Bannerjee to discuss the upcoming elections during the visit. Following which, the leadership will conduct a meeting after returning to Darjeeling. Dr. Chettri denying to comment on the report said the programme was handled by party general secretary Roshan Giri. (EOIC)
