The Kurseong police on Thursday recovered the body of Dewan Rai, a resident of Hasimaldhura, from a tea estate area in Kurseong. They said he appeared to have been brutally murdered.
According to police sources, Rai was a heavy drinker and a nuisance when drunk. Kurseong SDPO NN Bhutia said the police have registered a case of murder and investigation is going on. A post mortem of the body has been conducted although no one has been arrested so far.(EOI)
