Landslide on NH-31 A near 27th mile disconnects Sikkim

A massive landslide on NH-31 A near 27th mile area during the wee hours this morning disrupted traffic between Sikkim and the rest of the country.
The incessant heavy down pour since last two days in the region triggered the landslide.
Countless vehicles seen stranded on both side of the hill track. Border Road Organisation has sent machines and workers to clear up the road. BRO sources said it will take 8-10 hours to reopen the road for transportation but incessant rain has slowed down the progress.(EOIC)
