Darjeeling district magistrate Anurag Srivastava today said the
administration would enforce the ban on smoking at public places and
sale of tobacco product to minors strictly in the district from August
15.
He said the ban on the sale of tobacco products near educational
institutions would also be implemented from the Independence Day.
If a person smokes at public places, he/she has to pay a fine of Rs 200.(TT)
