Kalimpong: A police team raided the house of a suspected
Gorkha Janmukti supporter in Kalimpong town and seized three firearms
and some ammunitions.
This is the second time that the police
have made such seizures from the Pedong area. On October 14, firearms,
explosive and detonators were seized in a similar raid.
Police sources said they had information that Chandra Rai, a resident of the village, had kept some arms at home.
Two
9mm pistols, one improvised revolver, three magazines and 37 rounds of
bullets were found in two bags. Chandra, a suspected Morcha supporter,
managed to give a slip.
The Morcha declined any of its supporters were involved.
