Gangtok, Mar 17 (PTI) Sikkim Chief Minister Pawan Chamling today inaugurated the annual flower show where cymbidiums and other seasonal varieties were on display. The riot of colours, at the Flower Exhibition Centre in the Chogyal Palden Thondup Namgyal Memorial Park organised by the Sikkim Flower Show Commitee, also witnessed the presence of Speaker, cabinet ministers, senior Government officials. Students were given free passes for first hand experience on the various varieties of orchid along with seasonal flowering plants. The flower show, first held at Loop Garden in North Sikkim in 1963, is now a regular feature managed by the committee with the help of employees of the Department of Horticulture.
