May 25: A team from the Darjeeling-based Himalayan Mountaineering Institute summitted Mt Everest this morning.
The team has 11 members and six of them scaled the peak. The team had to return to the base camp after having reached a height of 24,600 feet because of snowfall. They reached the top of the world in the second bid.
