Nepali Sahitya Addhyan Samiti to celebrate Bhanu Bhakta’s Birth Anniversary

Kalimpong|Mukesh Sharma: The Nepali Sahitya Addhyan Samiti today declared that they will be observing the Birth Anniversary of the Nepali Sahitya Aadi Kavi Bhanu Bhakta and also will be presenting the ‘Bhai Chandra Smriti Puraskar’ during the Birth Anniversary celebrations.

Informing about the to be presented award, the Samiti’s Chief Secretary, Bal Bhadra Pradhan acquainted that the prestigious award will be given to the poems which have been published between the years 2007- 2011. The awardees will be presented a cash prize of Rs 12, 101 along with a souvenir and citation. The eligible poets can submit their names by June 30, 2012, he notified. The Samiti will also be holding a Ramayana Paath (recitation) competition, he added. Lastly, Pradhan also congratulated the renowned litterateur Indramani Darnal on behalf of the Samiti for receiving the Tagore Literature Award from the Sahitya Akademi, New Delhi.
