Gorkha Janamukti Morcha (GJM) has taken the Gorkhaland Territorial Administration (GTA) for a time being, there is no need of the constitutional recognisation to it’ said that GJM Genreal Secretary Roshan Giri talking to the reporters in Kalimpong today.
If it has to be constitutionally recognized nothing less than the statehood or Union Territory is accepted he added. There is nothing to panic from the petetion filed by the Gorkha National Liberation Front (GNLF) President on the constitutional validity of the GTA said Giri.
He also informed that the documents of those candidates who had given their interview in 2002 for the post of primary teachers are being scrutinized. The GTA can establish the regional SSC in the Hills he believed. The GTA is to be a three-tier panchayat election system but the Government has to take decision taking into consideration the Siliguri Sub Division he said.
A meeting is slated at Writers Building, Kolkata on October 1 for the transfers of the departments under the GTA, which will also hold talks on the reformation of the environment of the primary, secondary and the senior secondary schools in the Hills said Giri.
