Darjeeling: Tourists robbed in Darjeeling hotel

DARJEELING, 2 JAN: Two groups of tourists were reportedly robbed last night at a hotel in Darjeeling.

Mr Abhijit Chakraborty, who had come with his family from Kolkata was robbed of cash worth Rs 50,000, along with a handicam, an i-pod and a mobile phone. Another tourist Mr Abhay Singh from Howrah was robbed of Rs 15,000.

Police said both the rooms where the robberies had been committed were kept open whole night. Only one of them has lodged a complaint at the Darjeeling police station.
