Social welfare activities by Ladies Welfare Association of Rambi

Ladies Welfare Association (LWA) TLDP-III&IV, Rambi under the leadership of Anita Verma has undertaken a series of social welfare activities for the local masses and specially the women Self Help Groups in the project vicinity area.In one of the recent welfare activity, Ladies Welfare Association TLDP-III& IV has provided four nos of water tanks of 750 ltseach and 500 fts of tarpoline to DROPS (Darjeeling Rongchong Orange Products) – a Mungpoo based women Self Help Group engaged in production of orange, organic vegetables and other organic products. In a recently concluded function the water tanks and tarpoline were handed over by Anita Verma, President, Ladies Welfare Association TLDP-III & IV to the DROPS members at Mungpoo. The members of DROPS expressed their happiness and gratitude for the support received from LWA in order to make them self reliant.
