Irate locals beat him up and handed him over to Jagaddal police. The girl has been admitted to a local hospital.
The
incident took place at Roy Bahadur Road in Kankinara, police said. The
accused teacher gave private tuition to children in the area. According
to her family members the girl as usual went to his house early this
morning.
The teacher allowed all the students to leave, except
the victim, after some time and then he allegedly raped her. When the
girl returned home, she narrated the entire incident to her mother.
Local people and her family members raided the teacher's house and beat him up.
Police were informed and the teacher was arrested.
The victim has been admitted to Bhatpara state general hospital.
