Surel Bungalow or Sunset Bungalow or the 52 Doors Bungalow of mungpoo is situated just near the Surel dhaam(Shiva Dham) under 74dhura of Labdah division, locally called Sirel Kothi and it is one of the oldest Bungalow of mungpoo Chincona Plantation.
Common people says the name "Surel" is derived from the word Serial as the British built many and the similar buildings in the different places and gave temporary names as Serial 1, Serial 2 and so on.
This is the place where superhit hindi (bollywood) movie of Amitabh Bachchan " Barshat ki Ek Raat" of was Shot.
The Bungalow was destroyed during the Gorkhaland agitation led by Grokha National Liberation Front(GNLF) suprimo Subash Ghising in 1980s.
