Support movement instead of just making comments: Fubi Rai

GJMM Mirik president Fubi Rai
Unless the central government gives a written assurance, the GJM will not withdraw its statehood agitation, according to the party’s Mirik president Fubi Rai.
He said when the centre is showing some concern toward the statehood movement here, opposing parties should support it proactively instead of just making comments.
Addressing GJM supporters after a rally in Mirik today, Rai said, “The Hill Trinamool Congress should stop its double-edged policy. If the leaders do not oppose the Gorhaland demand, they should leave the TMC and join the movement and not sell their self-esteem.”
Further, he slammed the state government for continuing to retain the CRPF in the hills when the centre is stirring towards the statehood demand being raised.
The GJM leader also called on Peoples’ Forum secretary Prabin Gurung to support the movement instead of making statements and claims at this crucial juncture.(EOI)
