Jogighat Krishi Mela 2014 starts at Mungpoo,Kurseong

Mungpoo,Rajesh Thapa: Four-day long Krishi Mela in Jogighat,Riyangtaar the meeting point of Mungpoo and Sitong of kurseong sub division  inaugurated by the Gorkhaland Territorial Administration deputy chief  Col. (retd) Ramesh Allay. The fair will be held for four days till 17th january. GTA chief Mr. Bimal Gurung will attend the second day of Krishi Mela at Jogighat.
Krishi Mela is being held for the third consecutive year with a motive to promote various sectors related to farming to increase the agricultural productivity of the Hills.
Various modern applied techniques in the farming, horticulture, animal husbandry, fisheries and other sectors related to agriculture and related stalls are at display along with cultural events and loads.

In the mean time col. Ramesh Aaley promised that the GTA will be corruption free and the leaders will only focus on the development of the Darjeeling Hills.He also added that the day onwards  100 days scheme should also be corruption free.Mr Alay further said that the development is not only the responsibilty of the leaders,all the sabhasads and the janta should co operate each other to develop the region .The janta also can ask about 100 days scheme in their respective panchayat office he added.
