Following chief minister Mamata Banerjee’s announcement a development board will be soon be formed for the Tamang community, excitement seems to have gripped the members of the community.
The Mirik unit of the Tamang Youth Association has expressed gratitude towards the CM for her announcement on Tuesday about a Tamang Development and Cultural Board soon shaping up.
Speaking to journalists here today, TYA secretary Tchiden Moktan and Mirik block committee secretary Sanjit Tamang said the community is glad that a development board will be formed soon. They expressed gratitude to Banerjee saying she has given more than what the community had expected.
Tamang National convention 2014 organising committee president Suraj Tamang credited the unity among the Tamang people, saying the development and cultural board is being formed because of the united struggle put up by the members. He also thanked the state government for fulfilling the TYA’s demand and also took the opportunity to thank all those who had attended the convention to make it a success.(EOIC)
