Harka Bahadur Chettri puts acid on eyes,referred to Kolkata

Mukesh Sharma: Kalimpong MLA and Morcha spokesperson Dr. Harka Bahadur Chettri had to be rushed to a hospital after he incidentally put an acid instead of his eye drop on his left eye at his residence . After the incident he was immediately rushed to kalimpong hospital but due to absence of an eye specialist he was rushed to 8th mile Jamgaon Kongtrul eye center but again the doctor there was missing but the worker who were present there gave the first medical treatment and cleaned the eyes. After that he was immediately rushed to to a Lions Club hospital in Siliguri, but the doctors there referred him to Kolkata in a specialist eye hospital where his
Treatment is going on.

"The edge of his left cornea has been affected by the acid ,” said a family source who added that he was scheduled to leave for Kolkata today to attend the Legislative Assembly meeting .
