Siliguri, 8 April: Three podiums are likely to be set up for the Narendra Modi rally scheduled for 10 April at Khaprail in Matigara, Siliguri.
The BJP prime ministerial candidate and Gujarat chief minister, Mr Modi is all set to address the public meeting at the Panchkelguri ground.
"Mr Modi will address the gathering from the main stage that will be 15 feet wide and 20 feet long, while the height of the stage from the ground will be eight feet,” the party state secretary, Rabindra Narayan Chowdhury, said.
“On the main stage, Mr Modi will be flanked by state BJP president Rahul Sinha and Satpal Maharaj, while Gorkha Jan Mukti Morcha (GJMM) chief Bimal Gurung is also likely to be present on the main stage, " he added.The party’s Darjeeling Lok Sabha constituency candidate SS Ahluwalia and other BJP candidates of north Bengal will also share the dais with Mr Modi."State and district BJP leaders will be present on another stage, 15 feet wide and 24 feet long, while the height of the stage from the ground will be seven feet. Around 20 people will be the in this podium. Other GJMM leaders and leaders of the Kamtapur People's Party, Rajbansi Bikas Parishad and others, which have supported the BJP in the elections, will be present on the other stage," Mr Chowdhury said.
