With
only six short months of formal training, Bibeshna Chettri of
Kholachand Fapri, under Dabgram II of Siliguri, managed to win silver at
the Haryana State Kudo Cup 2015.
The three-day karate championship was
held at the Raja Nahar Singh Stadium, at Faridabad, under Rohtak
district of Haryana under the aegis of Kudo Association Haryana (KAH).
``It's not that common for a martial
arts student to win a national title with only six months of training
under their belt, but Bibeshna did just that,''said her teacher.
Daughter of Bishnu and Pramila Chettri,
the 13yr old has been doing marshal art since one and a half years. “I
am very happy with my performance, next time I shall work even harder
and try to get the gold medal”, said the elated kudo-girl. (HS)
